The relays series DUF are designed to monitor the insulation to earth of d.c. circuits for the excitation of synchronous generators.
Owing to their principle scheme, based on the a.c. injection methode, they detect an insulation fault anywhere in the field circuit. Moreover a suitable filter circuit makes the relays DUF insensitive to the capacitive leakage and to the harmonic components superposed on the field voltage.
