The underimpedance relays series DIZ are intended for the protection of generators against external short circuits. They ensure a more complete protection than a single overcurrent relay, as the current operation threshold automatically varies with dropping voltage at generator terminals. The relays DIZ are available as three-phase types. The operation is delayed with independent time to allow the coordination with other protection relays installed in the plant.
