The differential relay type DKG, with variable bias, is intended for the restricted protection of generators, motors or short lines. The restrain function, dependent upon the value of the through current, is adjustable to obtain the best adaptation of the protection relay to the plant conditions.
For differential protection of power transformer a more suitable protection type DKT is available.
